Spreading ChiRunning to Mexico!

Hi Danny,

I'm 42 years old and live in Monterrey, Mexico. I knew of ChiRunning due to a friend of mine (living in Atlanta) who recommended the book (English version). It was in October of 2010 when I started to read the ChiRunning book and I rapidly bought the idea. I've always thought that technique was very important in everything we do to achieve better results.

So, I started to practice it as I was moving forward in my reading (I already ran -some way- just to be healthy). Some weeks later, I bought your Spanish version of the book (better for me because there are a lot of body's anatomy terms not commonly used and known to me) in the USA and continued to read and practice the technique.

My initail reason for interest in ChiRunning was exactly the second title of the ChiRunning book, " A Revolutionary Approach To Effortless, Injury-Free Running." So, with that said, I want to tell you that last year, November 2011, I ran the Nuevo Leon's half marathon in 1h 46min and felt like I could have run even more kilometers. I had never thought to run something like this because I always just ran to be healthy, but a friend of mine gave me the chalenge. I finished the race pain and injury free and it was the first time in my life that I had ran a 21K!

I would love to participate (because I'm alone here trying to use Chi Running based on my understanding about my read and some videos and I know I need to improve in some areas) in some of your classes, but there are no instructors here in Mexico. I also think ChiRunning is not yet known in Mexico... I'm promoting it every time I can and some friends of mine already acquire the book!!

Please let me know when you have plans to go to Mexico, especially to Monterrey (very near from Laredo, TX). I would love to sign up for one of your workshops!

Thanks.
David Rada

** Nuevo Leon is the state, Monterrey is its capital.
