Chi Running has honestly saved me from injury! I have always been an ‘athlete’, but not a natural runner. In 2008, I decided to commit to running for my health. I discovered Chi Running at the Expo for the Cincinnati Flying Pig Half Marathon. I was hooked. As a Physical Therapist/Athletic Trainer, I know body mechanics. It is my livelihood. I’ve also studied principles of Tai Chi as a treatment option for patients with back pain, posture and balance problems. So, it clicked. When I went to look for a trainer in Iowa, I discovered none. Reached out to Kathy Griest when visiting family in So. Cal and had a one on one training session. From there, made the committment to become an instructor. I fully believe that Chi Running has kept me injury free while training and completing 5 half marathons/year plus various other races. It is my desire to share this incredible set of principles and skills with others.
