Sarah Young — Certified Instructor

Massage therapist and certified personal trainer Sarah Young has always had an interest in helping the body move efficiently and fluidly. It’s this interest that led her to complete her M.S. in Exercise Science. Earning her graduate certificate in Complementary Medicine and Wellness helped Young to better understand the link between western medicine and alternative medicine, including, massage, guided imagery, acupuncture, and T’ai Chi. As an Active Isolated Stretching practitioner, Young helps her clients improve their strength and flexibility as well as realize relief from problems associated with many overuse injuries such as, stiff necks, knee issues, lower back problems and other ailments resulting from improper body mechanics.


So, it’s no surprise after a client introduced her to ChiRunning and ChiWalking, Young was intrigued enough to sign up for a workshop with Danny Dreyer. By the end of that workshop, she was hooked- ChiRunning made running pain-free and fun. Young received her ChiRunning/ChiWalking instructor certification in 2008. ChiRunning/ChiWalking has transformed Young’s life as well as that of her clients and friends. She has participated in several half marathons and other races and her enthusiasm continues to motivate and encourage others to join in the running fun Pretty amazing for a former avowed non-runner!
