About Pat Reichenbach
Certifications: Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Education, ACE Certified Personal Trainer, IFTA Certified Senior Fitness Specialist, ChiRunning and ChiWalking Certified Instructor
In the teaching profession for most of her adult life, Pat has enjoyed the opportunities to inspire, motivate and educate. Pat began her teaching career as a gymnastics coach and swimming instructor; and later became an aerobics instructor as well. Currently, she happily teaches the benefits of lifelong health and fitness through her certifications as a ChiRunning and ChiWalking Instructor and as a Personal Trainer.
The ChiRunning technique was a revelation for Pat, because she had actually avoided running for many years. Running gave her shin splints, made her knee hurt, and aggravated her lower back after a spinal fusion. No problems with a vast array of other sports, but Pat\‘s "long run" was a cautious 1 or 2 miles on the treadmill.
In 2005, Pat read an article about ChiRunning and attended Danny Dreyer\‘s lecture/demo. His techniques wer right in line with her education in Physiology of Exercise and Kinesiology. That weekend, she took her running outdoors, incorporated what she learned and ran 3 miles! Within a few months, her weekly long run became six (6) miles, then ten (10) miles - pain free and absolutely pleasurable. Pat was hooked on ChiRunning and knew that she wanted to teach this technique to others.
In 2006, Pat took the instructors course and became certified by Danny Dreyer. She maintains a close relationship and continuing education with Danny, assisting him at many national workshops and helping him to train new instructors. Pat holds local workshops, weekly classes and personal training in ChiRunning and ChiWalking.
