I discovered running in 2004 and was immediately fascinated by how the body works and how it can adapt and improve given certain stimuli. I was keen to improve my technique so after a great deal of research and trial and error I discovered the Chi Running method.
In May 2010 I attended a workshop with Danny Dreyer. This inspired me to train to become a Certified Chi Running Instructor.
I have assisted Master Instructors Marion Meesters in Amsterdam (May 2012) and Catherina McKiernan in Dublin (June 2012). In June of this year I assisted Danny in London and Amsterdam during his visit to Europe.
I’m passionate about Chi Running and believe it can help people to rediscover the joy and excitement of running as well as improve efficiency and reduce the risk of injury. I love teaching and find it satisfying when I can help someone improve their skill and fitness, achieve their goals and improve their lives.
I run regular Chi Running Workshops in London and around the UK. Each workshop includes video analysis, a free follow-up session at my regular Chi Run Club. I also offer 1-2-1 and small group sessions.
I am a member of REPs the UK’s Register of Exercise Professionals and also offer bespoke resistance (strength, power and endurance) programmes to complement your Chi Running training.
I have run two marathons, several half marathons, numerous 10ks. I’m currently training for my first ultra-marathon in October of this year.

Free Introduction to Chi Running

Want to find out more about Chi Running? I’ll explain the importance of posture, gravity, foot strike, arm swing and cadence and how you can develop your running technique to improve energy efficiency and reduce the risk of injury.
The two main themes underlaying all Chi Running materials are energy efficiency and injury prevention. Chi Running combines the central movement principles of T’ai Chi with running, reducing impact on the body. With good postural alignment and relaxation, core stability, engaging gravity to create forward momentum, mid foot landing, and optimal cadence, you’ll learn to run focused, relaxed and in balance.
This introduction will give a basic summary of the main aspects of the technique along with short demos and exercises for you to practice. There will also be time for questions.

A unique Chi Running Club. Work on specific Chi Running focuses – for example posture, arm swing, breathing. We then head out for a run during which you’ll get pointers on how to help make your running more energy-efficient and injury free. A ‘shepherding’ system ensures everyone exercises at the appropriate level with the reassurance that you will not be left behind. The focus is on training and technique rather than competition.
