Your knees will move forward a bit but not UP! For those who have a tendency to left their knees, the adage ‘Knees down, heels up’ applies. But the knees don’t point straight down - that would result in a hopping motion. Only in the knee bend drill (and only the first two steps of that) do they stay pointing down. The emphasis, however, is (when the foot makes contact with the ground) to allow the ground to take the foot back (sticky foot), allowing the leg and hip to follow that back. In this sense, you don’t DRIVE the knee forward, but it’s the recoil (from letting the whole fascial line from below the ribs to the foot be stretched back) that LETS the knee come forward. Hard to explain on paper, but that’s the concept. Let us know if that makes sense.
