I finished the first edition of the book, watching the DVD a few times, and am having great success with many of the form changes. Forward lead and correct posture have been wonderful in running and beyond. I am struggling with one, picking my feet up. When I think of the rod coming out of the ankles inward and picking my feet up and over, I develop sharp knee pain. The pain is of equal intensity on both sides, uphill, downhill, and on flat terrain. The cure is to go back to pushing off with the glutes and calves. It’s as if my knees are better aligned with the pressure of pushing off to keep some amount of stability. I am picking up my feet when walking to reinforce but had to cut a run short yesterday due to the knee pain which is not constant but just happens at unpredictable times throughout a run. Not sure if it’s part of the puzzle but I am nowhere near getting my pelvis level or learning how to engage the lower abs yet. Anyone experience this sort of scenario?
