I’ve been practicing chirunning for awhile now and developed a bad case of plantar fascitis in February. It got better, than got worse, and I think to avoid my heel I was putting too much pressure on the ball of my foot, and I developed bursitis between the sesamoid bones and a stress fracture in one of the bones. I’ve not been running for 8 weeks, and plan to start walk/running at the end of December. Podiatrist is recommending more support in the mid/forefoot than my new balance minimus, so i will do that, but i also want your advice re what to be thinking about to avoid this happening again. Any advice would be appreciated! Also if you have suggestions about shoes - he suggested eva midsole and firm heel counter and curved last, at least while i come back from the injury.
