Hello fellow walkers. Well, after a year of enjoying around 20 miles a week of wonderful Chi Walking, and some longer (10 -16 mile) recent walks, I am planning to tackle the 26 mile ‘Purbeck Plod’ (around the Isle of Purbeck in Dorset, UK).
I don’t normally take anything with me on my walks, but for this one I’m going to need water, food, spare clothes etc. I’m wondering if it would be better to carry a small back pack - which makes for a sweaty back, and might restrict my arm movement/chafe, or a 6 litre-ish bumbag (a ‘fanny pack’ to you Americans ... which is hilarious in English!) - which I imagine might well restrict my hip rotation. Does anyone have any experiences to share, or any advice for me? Its a very up-and-downy walk along coast paths & downland. Your suggestions would be most welcome - thanks.
