I’m 27 years old and I’ve run 2 marathon last year. I run the first one in paris in 3:08 in April and the second in Lowell (MA) in 3:12 in October. In both cases I started fast (probably too much) and at about 30th kilometer I hit the wall and the last 10km I struggled, slowed down consistently (in the second marathon I also cramped towards the end). I’m planning to run another marathon in the fall if this year and I’d like to aim to break 3:05 (and ideally 3:00).
Do you think it’s possible? What kind of training would you recommend to overcome this problem in the last part? Maybe it is also related to nutrition before and during the marathon?
