Chi Running Rocks with Chris Griffin!

Hi Chris,

I just wanted to thank you for holding such a great class. The book can only take you so far without some coaching.
Since your class I have run a 5K Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving and two half marathons two consective weekends in a row.
I ran the Vegas Rock n Roll half marathon on Sunday evening December 4 and then with only 5 days of rest of I was able to run the Walnut Creek 1st annual half marathon on the morning of December 10th.
For the Vegas run I beat my PR by three minutes having finished the race in 2 hours 7 minutes.
For the Walnut Creek run I again beat my PR by 5 minutes having finished the race in 2 hours 2 minutes.

Of note, I was not able to train well the 3 weeks prior to the the Vegas run having to deal with some work issues, a death in the family, and getting sick. I was only able to run 3 or 4 times during those 3 weeks.
Because my endurance was not quite as good as I wanted it to, I had to walk 3 or 4 times during each race. Yet I was able to beat my Personal Best time both times. After each marathon I only required minimal recovery time.

Running back to back half marathons, beating my PT (twice), and requiring minimal recovery, I owe primarily to Chi Running.

I know I still have some work to do to improve my technique but I feel like I am well on my well.
